THE DAILY ATHLETE MINDSET // WORKSHOP

Over a 1 to 2 hour period, we really get into it. We create a unique experience that allows athletes to establish a core understanding of themselves in pursuit of greater levels of self-efficacy, self-awareness, and resilience. Through deep self-exploration exercises, discussions, and interactions, we give athletes a framework to better understand what is they are trying to accomplish, why it’s worth achieving – and more importantly – the mentals tool to help them get it done. Not for the faint of heart. And not for those who like sitting on the sidelines.

THE JOURNALING MINDSET // WORKSHOP

The habit of journaling goes well beyond just putting pen to paper. It’s a timeless art that puts the practice of self-reflection to the test in service of a more skilled ability to self-correct down the line. In this 1-hour workshop, we explore how a mindful journaling practice can aid athletes in their daily motivation and their ability to create a lasting change in behaviour and daily focus.

30-60 minute presentation on what it means to cultivate The Daily Athlete Mindset. Our keynote presentations are intended to provide a base understanding of how Values, Vision, Goals, and Daily Actions all come together to create driven and focused individuals or teams.

I’ll be honest, every time I find myself heading off to do another workshop I get nervous. Not because I don’t feel prepared or that I hate public speaking. But simply because I am overly excited by the opportunity of sharing my passion and don’t want to mess it up. This business is something that has been steadily building behind the scenes and I am incredibly grateful each time I get the chance to pass it on to others.

What started off as a tragic realization of how I failed as an athlete, has now transformed into a powerful message and framework that, I hope, the next generations of athletes and coaches can apply to their daily lives. I want to continue to profess my message in front of as many athletes as humanly possible because I truly believe it is a simple yet profoundly important one that we all need to hear (before it’s too late).

“Since having Derek present, our athletes have been much more diligent in tracking their goals and following up with them. Overall, I think it really helped to start the season off on the right foot. From a sports perspective, it is always beneficial when the athletes are able to set both personal and team goals, and then finding ways to work towards that.
