Life will present us with many mountains to climb. At the outset, we are prone to just choosing whichever one appears first.

  • If it’s easy, we start climbing.
  • If others have done it, we follow their same path.
  • And if no one questions our chosen mountain, we assume it’s the one we are meant to climb.

But…

Are you actually climbing the right mountain?
Is this challenging task going to be worth the struggle?
Are you truly willing to see it through to the end?

I’ll give you a second to pause right there before I ask my final question…

Is it possible there a different mountain you are meant to climb?

Or at the very least a different peak on the same mountain?

At the end of the day, there is no one set path 🗺️. No one way to live life.

The “Hero’s Journey” might look similar from afar, but the steps each of us take along the way are unique all their own.

“We must be willing to let go of the life we planned so as to have the life that is waiting for us.”

― Joseph Campbell

Don’t waste your life (and athletic career) living someone else’s journey.
